The Road Not Taken

The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost, a poem recommended by my International Business lecturer during last semester.  It is a poem that I could read everyday and still have a love for it. So, I would like to share this poem with everyone.

I am a person who seldom read poems and also not really know how to enjoy reading poems. But, this poem has caught my interest. This poem has got to be among the best-known, most-often misunderstood poems on the planet.

The summary for this poem is about the writer stands in the jungle and considering a fork in the road. Both of the ways are equally worn and overlaid with untrodden leaves. The writer chooses one and telling himself that he will take the another road for another day. However, he knows that it has minimal possibility that he have second chance to do so. He admits that someday in the future he will recreate the scene with a slight twist. He also claimed that he took the less traveled road.

The two roads in the poem reflects to two choices of life. It is why this poem caught my attention and interest. All of us are facing a lot of choices in our daily lives. Through the poem, the writer wants to tell us that we have to be brave in choosing choices and the consequence in every decision. It is because that we will loose the opportunity for the other choices. In fact, everyday we have done many decisions indirectly such as what we going to eat for lunch, dinner and what task have to do first and so on. Every single decision is also very important because a small decision can change our entire life. So, we should make a good decision by choosing the best way and have to be brave enough to make decision in order to choose the best choice. Even the choice is not the favorite one.

BE BRAVE AND FEARLESS TO KNOW THAT
EVEN IF  YOU DO MAKE A WRONG DECISION,
YOU'RE MAKING IT FOR A GOOD REASON.
